So the Kurura Forest is just one of the several national parks in Nairobi. Nice place to walk around, covers about 2,500 acre area. During the Mau-Mau uprising that eventually lead to independence, the rebels would use the forest and caves to hide. In 1999 parts of the forest were set to be sold off to land developers and corporations by corrupt politicians but was stopped by protestors, hence the last photo of the sign.
